Experience Resident Manager 2011 – Present Confidential New York, NY I am the Resident Manager for a New Condominium in Midtown Manhattan, and as the Resident Manager, I am responsible for the oversight of the building maintenance and general repairs. My responsibilities also included the facilitating of the completion of all of the residual construction related to warranty repairs and/or final construction matters. I manage the building operations as well as the building staff directly. I am also responsible to ensure that all of the building equipment was in good working order including but not limited to: plumbing, electric, heating system, elevators, and ventilation systems.
In my leadership role in building, I must managed large and small projects, supervise and direct the staff, and follow up on all building matters that require my attention. I also effectively hire, train, and discipline the building staff as needed. I developed quality standards and routinely monitor the building’s effectiveness, efficiency, and conditions. I compile reports regularly on the productivity, operational data, and budget considerations as well as my predictions for future needs to management. Resident Manager 2001 – 2011 Park 81st Corp. New York, NY I was the Resident Manager for a Cooperative Apartment Building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and as the Resident Manager, I was solely responsible for the oversight of maintenance and general building repair. I was responsible for immediate needs of the building including maintenance, repairs, and all other requirements. I was also responsible to ensure that all of the building equipment was in good working order including but not limited to: plumbing, electric, heating system, elevators, and ventilation systems. I also coordinated and/or performed preventative maintenance as required.
In my role as Resident Manager, I took a leadership role in building and apartment improvement processes, managed large and small projects, managed the staff, and covered shifts as needed. I also effectively hired, trained, and disciplined the building staff as needed. New York, NY I was the Assistant Resident Manager/Handyman at a Luxury Cooperative Apartment Building in Greenwich Village with over 300 units, and my responsibilities were, but not limited to, assisting the supervision of a large staff, performing repairs, building maintenance, supervising and coordinating contractor repairs & renovations, and to respond to all service requests. I filled in as Resident Manager as needed. In addition, I oversaw the cleaning and maintenance of the entire property and much more.
Warehouse/Maintenance Manager 1988 – 1994 RKO Warner Video Inc. New York, NY I was the Warehouse/Maintenance Manager for a Small Retail Video chain, and my responsibilities were, but not limited to, managing a small staff, scheduling and performing repairs/maintenance at various locations, supervising and coordinating contractor repairs & renovations, payroll, ordering of supplies & services, creating reports, keeping and maintaining a computerized inventory, and to organize and dispatch all deliveries to and from the various locations.
Additional Skills In additional to my Plumbing, Electrical, & Carpentry skills, I also am highly literate in most personal computing and mobile technologies (i.e. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, BuildingLink, Mac OSX, Apple iOS, etc.). I am nearly fluent in Spanish, but I am currently studying to perfect my fluency. I also have various additional skills and interests.
